Wave WIP 2

Guess I forgot to post this update on here.  I'm getting really bad about keeping this up to date.
Sorry to all my followers.  Work is starting to interfere and I need to make more time for my art!
Not sure  you can even see a change but I spent quite a bit of time darkening his coat and mane and also spent a lot of time on his face.  Still have a ways to go but really liking how he's turning out.

Hope you like it too!

Pug Eyes

Still working on the pug painting. Put more time into it last night.
Was supposed to get this done before the end of the month because "technically" the class ended at the end of April but we are still able to continue and post....I wish I had the best of both worlds! All the time I want to spend riding my horse and doing my art as well as what my new job gives me
Oh well, as the saying goes, you can't have everything! So, I work on my art when I can and ride my horse when I can :)

Hope you like it!!

Wave - WIP

I think I've been neglecting my blog again....Sigh.....
Here is what I've been working on lately.
So I'm going to try and get you caught up all in one post.
This pose was very interesting and challenging to get accurately drawn but once I was happy with what I'd drawn on printer paper, then it was onto transferring it to the finished surface.  For this drawing, I'm using Strathmore Bristol Board Smooth.  I started out the shading with a 2H graphite pencil.  Then I switched to the 2B.  After that I used the 4B and also went back to the 2H and 2B.  Still have a ways to go but really happy with the results so far.
Hope you like it!

Still Drawing

Wow I have seriously been neglecting my blog!
I'm now working full time so not as much time for art and such.  I am still drawing but it's mostly quick sketches now.
I watched a short video on how the impact of wolves in Yellowstone National Park was a positive one. There were such beautiful images on the video of the wolves, I just had to try and capture a couple of them.  These are the results of that inspiration.  I didn't spend a lot of time on them, just quickly sketched.
Hope you like them!
